About Us

Introduction

Private clinics association (PCAM), is a local non-governmental organization which was established in 2023. It was established to bridge a gap which existed among communities, private health facilities, service providers and both public and private institutions.

Its targeted membership is owners of all private health facilities in Malawi. These include Hospitals, specialist Clinics, and clinics regulated by both Medical Council of Malawi (MCM) and Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi (NMCM).

PCAM Objectives

Help those in need of paying services to access them at a fee or subsidized fee in some areas.
Support in times of medical or related emergencies i.e. Cholera outbreaks, malnutrition, floods.
Facilitation of knowledge to medical and support staff through CPDs and Trainings.
Improve service delivery through research.
Improve services offered at the clinics and Hospitals by facilitating loans between clinics and banks or suppliers.
Improve data collection and integration into government database.
